How to Change the Background In Adobe Premiere Pro?

To change the background in Adobe Premiere Pro, follow these steps:

  1. Open Adobe Premiere Pro and import the video clip you want to work with.
  2. Place the video clip on the timeline by dragging and dropping it onto the timeline panel.
  3. Create a new transparent video track by clicking on the "New Item" button at the bottom of the Project panel and selecting "Transparent Video."
  4. Drag the transparent video track above the video clip on the timeline.
  5. Go to the "Effects" tab and search for the "Ultra Key" effect.
  6. Drag the "Ultra Key" effect onto the transparent video track on the timeline.
  7. In the Effects Controls panel, click on the eyedropper tool next to the "Key Color" option.
  8. Click on the part of the video clip that represents the background you want to remove. This will automatically key out the selected color.
  9. Adjust the "Threshold" and "Tolerance" sliders in the Effects Controls panel to fine-tune the keying effect and remove any remaining parts of the background.
  10. To replace the background, import the desired background image or video into the Project panel.
  11. Drag the background asset onto a track below the transparent video track on the timeline.
  12. Resize and reposition the background asset as needed to align it with the main video.
  13. Make further adjustments to the keying effect or the background asset as necessary.
  14. Preview the video to ensure the background replacement looks the way you want.
  15. Export the video to save your changes.
